Ascending to Expertise in Wind Turbine Environments

Proficiency in advanced rescue techniques is crucial for safe and efficient wind turbine operations. The towering structures and intricate designs of wind turbines present unique challenges even for seasoned professionals. Recognizing this need, Wind Trade Academy offers its GWO Advanced Rescue Training (ART), an advanced program tailored for those who aim to stand out in their field by being adept in advanced rescue operations, especially within the confines of a Wind Turbine Generator (WTG).

Course Overview

The GWO ART is divided into the following four modules:
  • Hub Rescue
  • Nacelle, Tower & Basement Rescue
  • Single Rescuer - Hub, Spinner & Inside Blade
  • Single Rescuer - Nacelle, Tower, & Basement

HUB RESCUE

Hub rescue isn't just about saving a life; it's about precision, knowledge, and confidence in the face of adversity. Our module aims to holistically train participants to conduct rescue operations within the WTG hub, spinner, and the blade's interior. By the end of this training, participants will be proficient in utilizing industry-standard rescue equipment and methods, distinctly surpassing the foundation of GWO Working at Height.

NACELLE, TOWER, & BASEMENT RESCUE

A WTG's nacelle, tower, and basement are areas with their own challenges. Our meticulously designed module ensures participants become well-versed in managing the complexities these areas present. The training emphasizes industry-standard rescue equipment and methodologies, offering expertise that eclipses basic GWO work at height protocols.

SINGLE RESCUER - HUB, SPINNER, & INSIDE BLADE

In certain critical situations, swift and independent action becomes essential. This module has been tailored for such scenarios, training participants in single rescuer advanced rescue operations within the WTG hub, spinner, and blade interior. With hands-on practice and expert guidance, participants will be adept in handling situations with confidence and precision while using tools and techniques that surpass GWO’s BST Working at Heights standards.

SINGLE RESCUER - NACELLE, TOWER, & BASEMENT

Wind turbines can be challenging terrains; often, a single rescuer might be the first responder in an emergency. This module focuses on enabling participants to confidently handle such scenarios within a WTG's nacelle, tower, and basement. Training transcends the basics, ensuring every participant becomes proficient in advanced rescue methods, equipment, and techniques.
